Heartsick

Some of the excitement of yesterday's new career story is dulled this morning as we wait for massive layoffs. I am just sick about what is happening to a place where I have spent more than half my life.

I can't even fathom.

So I'm not gonna think about it. I'm not I'm not I'm not.

Oh sweetie. I wish there was something I could do to help. Go home and get drunk.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. We've been through the layoff wringer at our house in the past, and it's no fun at all, especially when you really care about the company you work for. Hang in there. Your new work idea sounds wonderful!

Oh, pumpkin. I'm so sorry it's becoming real. I cannot imagine having invested so much to a career that other people want to eliminate. BIG HUGS. Think of the joy you will bring to the kids. And, how rewarding your new "employers" (the kids) will make your job.

Oh Janet, maybe it's a way to force you to go back to doing what you love. Some things really do happen for a reason- as trite as that sounds.

I hope your day gets better. Your new plan really does sound lovely. Changes like this are so hard, though. I hate walking away from something I've been a part of for so long and put so much of myself into.

Oh no! That is really a tough thing to deal with. Good luck to you and make sure your record some of your music. Do you know how hard good kid's music is to find? I could really use a tune or two around here.
