Fun Monday: the double-nickels edition

Ah, it's Monday again. Which means it's FUN.

And THAT means it's FUN MONDAY!

This week we are being hosted by the Nekked Lizards -- both the Man and the Lady -- and they are inviting us to the THE DOUBLE NICKEL 5&5 FUN MONDAY Challenge.

Apparently, that means this:

FIVE PICTURES - FIVE WORDS PER PICTURE: Any 5 (FIVE) pictures, any subject, and any 5 (FIVE) words to describe and/or explain each picture. CAN YOU DO IT???

Pish-tosh, Nekkie people. I can do that.

Well, yeah, I can -- but my haiku training actually made counting words a little tougher. I kept wanting to count syllables. Heh.

When I figured out that five words were not necessarily five syllables, I went a little crazy.

ONE:
Give me the finger -- please!

TWO:
Jack, we hardly knew ye ...

THREE:
Oh, willow, weep for me ...

FOUR:
Six months of toothpaste left!

FIVE:
First rose of the season

Yeah, yeah, I thought I would end on a more beautiful note, rather than my previous snark.

Enjoy your Monday, people. And go visit the rest of the crowd.

Those are great. Poor Jack (I love that name) and the Finger (woohoo). I don't get the toothpaste thing, unless you mean you are squeezing every last drop out of it.

I have a friend who slices open all of her expensive lotions and make-up to make sure she gets her monies (moneys?) worth.

I've never seen the finger candy bar.
And I ALWAYS forget to buy toothpaste. Oh the squeezing we have done..

Our willowtree came down two years ago --

That almost makes me wonder What shape that candy bar is???!!!

Yours are funny! Good job! The finger - Ha!

I love "the finger" bar, how funny is that?? hehehehe

We had one beautiful weeping willow in this town and they cut it down. They said to many black widows are in those, so we don't have any more. They sure are pretty though.

Oh, how I love the caption on the toothpaste--I'm a squeezer and COULD probably get six months out of that!

LOVED the weeping willow--they're such playful trees to me.

And "The Finger"? LOL, where did you find THAT???? Too funny!

Great captions, great pictures all 'round :).

I've had to switch to a different toothpaste delivery system. No one in my house seems to GET tubes!

Your weeping willow picture is lovely! Makes me think of spring breezes.

I love you most when you are at your snarkiest!

That chocolate bar is so rude. And snarky is good. ;)

Your picks were really great! I like the 1st one the most.
Is haiku training hard? I thought of teaching my kids this next year.

Gorgeous rose. The tree is pretty. You have some good captions with the photos. They are quite random.

Great captions to go along with wonderful pictures.

Is The Finger one of those retro candy bars that you find in pulp catalogs like Vermont Country Store? If that willow tree is in that much leaf where you live, I'm very jealous. . .

Very original. Loved it. Your first rose is beautiful.

I had the same trouble with the captions for my Fun Monday photos … because I wanted to count syllables too. LOL You had great variety and humor in your post today. I posted mine yesterday at Small Reflections, but didn’t have time to visit until today … so I’m playing catch-up. Hope you’re having a wonderful week ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
