Now THAT'S hot!!!

The water, I mean.

After more than a week with no hot water, we finally have the problem solved.

Wonderhubby installed a new valve on our water heater, ending days of icy-cold showers and extra trips to the gym to use THEIR hot water.

You gotta love a guy who's handy.

I sure do!!

Handy people are good. I like have my handy dude around. :)

Now make him take you out to dinner on the money you saved by not having to call a repair guy.

Very nice. And such a good segway into the fact that I am now off to take a shower. (wow, she really should write for the Today show or at least local news, because let's all be honest, the local news always has the best segways....oh, and because Holly is now rambling and talking in third person which she has vowed never to do when she is not on her own blog let me mention that segway is not well received by my spelling checker and just in case you are wondering, no I haven't been drinking. I have lost track if I need to end any type of punctuation here so I am going to just finish with this: )"!

Under normal circumstances I would be volunteering to wash your back - however, I'm not sure where I stand at the moment, given that in my youthful exuberance my last few comments may not have made the sense (and been as funny) as I hoped they would.

I love handy men too. Our hot water heater actually exploded the seams, and he had to call the owners of the true value (small town) and had them open the store so he could buy a new one and all the hoses and stuff. We got hot water again at about midnight. hahahahaha

But when it's gone out before, we have taken many a bath with water heated up on the stove.

ha ha... when our gas was out for a week because of a pipeline explosion, we heated it on the electric stove and poured warm water over us with a bucket in the shower.
You're brave to take cold ones!

My stepfather was woefully incompetent with that sort of thing. My mother and I learned how to do it all ourselves.
This could be one of the reasons why I married a carpenter . . .
