no permission required, of course. sadness will have its way.

I think you get all the time you want. Throw yourself a good party. It's meaningful that you miss him. Pity party away...

Sharing your feelings with others is a great way to help ease the sadness. Why not make it a party!

Go ahead! As much as I dream of time alone I can't imagine the tears I'll shed when the first one flies!

Aw, I know. I moved our only son to an apartment in the college town. I helped him buy groceries and cooking stuff. He is only an hour away but it's different not having him home at night and he always helped me cook supper. I miss him and so does his cat. :D

Wow. That would be hard... it's actually hard for me to imagine because my oldest is two.

It'll probably come before I am ready for it!

Aw, so much packed into one little haiku. And of course you can feel what's so normal to feel, not that you need anyone's permission. (hugs)

Sometimes we need pity parties. They're helpful and therapeutic.

Have a pity party. Just make sure there is some wine involved.

I cannot even imagine. Party on.

You realize the irony in all this, don't you? I mean, we grump and complain about the kids for years on end and then when they're gone we cannot stand their absence.

I can't sympathize, mine are yet small and needy... I'm sure he misses you too!

Aww. I'll bring the margaritas. Or the Oreos. Or both.

Awww....no worries. I'll bring the ice cream and kleenex.

All pity partying is allowed, nay, necessary in this kind of situation. Bring on the alcoholic beverage of your choice. And someone drink mine for me. (I won't be home to get email, so feel free NOT to reply.)
And don't be too jealous of the beach thing. when we left home yesterday morning at 8, gas cost $3.72. By the time we got to my sister's house at 4 pm, it was $4.60. We do NOT like Ike!
