Weekly Winners: August 30 - September 6

Taking center stage today is Z-man's birthday dinner. (Click the link only if you don't have delicate sensibilities!)

Anyway, teppan tables are very entertaining. Lots of knives, flames, flying vegetables. Fun for everyone.

See the onion tower. See the onion tower burst into flames:

Hands moving faster than the eye can see:

Two who do NOT like chopsticks:

Seriously, take a very close look at the Roo-girl's face. She. does. not. do. chopsticks!

Maturity 2.0:

I guess this one DOES do chopsticks. Sigh.

And the obligatory Roo-girl portrait:

She graciously allowed me to shoot on the third day of school.
If you didn't see how she responded to the second day, check this out.

I love watching those guys cook. And I understand their hatred for chopsticks LOL

I love love love eating at those restaurants!!

She looks unbelievably frustrated and put out. Too funny :-)
It looks like an amazing time was had by all, so fun. I love Roo girl's portrait.

*and I'm denying all evidence showing that I'll have a near teenager ever*

Pretty girl! I'm jealous you could get her to stand still long enough to take that kind of shot... I can't get my kids to do it!

I followed that last link. Boy, are you in for it. She's as headstrong as she is pretty.

Hang on Mom. And hang in there.

I once considered eating with nothing but chopsticks as a form of dieting. Lol.

Screwed. That's you. I know I say it all the time, but it's true.

I love to eat at those places. I am willing to start with chopsticks, but I usually give up. Otherwise my food freezes on the plate waiting for me to pick it up.
Beautiful Roo.

We almost went to Sumo for Caleb's farewell dinner, but they had a huge waiting list. The guys all really wanted steak anyway. When we walked out of Sumo, Caleb said, "I'm kinda glad they were packed; that place smelled funny." Oh but I would so much rather have waited for a table at Sumo or gone to PF Chang's. I can't do chopsticks either, though.
