Haiku Friday: the dressing room conversation edition

Haiku Friday

"The cheetah print dress
looked yucky. I already
took it off -- cuz ... 'ew!' "

What was wrong with it?
"It made me look all puffy."
Bummer. It was cute.

Show me anyway ...
Roo-girl, that's adorable!
You don't look puffy.

"I don't? You like it?"
I think you look fantastic.
"Um, I like it too."

It does my heart good
when my opinion can still
sway my little girl.

Other than a dress made of marshmallows, I'm not sure that anything could make Roo look puffy. She's too cute!

Happy Haiku Friday!

Such a cute girl you have there. And yes, it's very sweet that your opinion means that much to her. When my mom told me something looked good I couldn't wait to get it off me at that age.

I'm 25 and my Mom can STILL sway me on things. A Mother's power is pretty potent stuff. ;)

That is too cute. The Queen has already dispensed with my opinion. Maybe she will appreciate it more when she's olde . . . never mind, I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

She's adorable. My girls don't listen to my opinion anymore - especially when it comes to clothes.

Puffy? She thinks she looks PUFFY? Is that teen slang for fat?

Lovely.

I agree! She looks nowhere near "puffy".

I love shopping with someone else because I don't trust my own opinion most of the time. Especially when it comes to clothes!

I think it's very cute too.

I have two girls and one is influenced by me and the other...well, let's just say if I want her to do something I just tell her the exact opposite!

I don't know why cheetah print would make her think she looked puffy. It (and she) are very cute!

It's good you can influence her. And keep on encouraging her to dress in non form revealing dresses. No sense attracting all those hormone driven teenage boy sharks.

I understand how you feel. I still like having a little bit of sway over my girls. And Roo looked very cute in said dress. :)
