Haiku Friday: the let us pass over edition

Haiku Friday

It's that time of year
when we bring out the matzah.
But this year it's more.

Next week is seder.
We'll meet at the home of the
pole-dancing grandma ...

That's not the best part.
It's the first time that Rocky
will meet the whole fam.

Yes, my son's boyfriend
will meet my homophobic
brother-in-law -- HA!

A dining-room full
of hilarious tension.
Can you say fodder????

Cathy said...

oh geez! I can feel the tension already! I hope it goes well. :)

Well *that* sounds like a good time just waiting to happen.

FUN. Good luck with that.

Seriously, hope your brother-in-law behaves himself.

Fodder on seder?

There HAS to be a joke in there somewhere that doesn't make me sound like a bigot.

Hey! It's still Your Turn, you know.

Can any family have a gathering where there's no tension or arguments? I think it's impossible. We're all disfunctional, aren't we?

My girlfriend has a baby boy who just turned one. She's decided to raise him gay. She says gay men take care of their mamas.

I can't wait. I hope BIL behaves, because Lord knows the blogosphere will rip him a new one if he doesn't. And I'll be first. :)

Does he realize that he has TWO nephews who are 'family'?

Burgh Baby said...

Woohoo! I hope your BIL at least pretends to be a decent human being, but it sure would be entertaining to watch him squirm.

Pole dancing grandma? Homophobic family meeting son's boyfriend? I hope there's humor in this.

Oh, you so just need to set up a video camera in the corner and then let 'em rip! LOL

Well, I CAN say fodder, yet, I'm thinking another word that starts with "f" and ends with "er" is going to be needed by this weekend... ;-)
At least there's one person amongst us I won't have to worry about finding posting materials!
