Strapped for ideas

This is my daughter. She is a beautiful young woman, if I may say so.

But there is something about this photo that irritates the living daylights out of me. Can you find it?

This is how I commented there ---

I find this sort of thing irritating only because I am forced to avert my eyes when such things are on display. If I DON'T avert my eyes, SWMBO will poke me in the eye and that makes them tear and then I look like I'm crying and I can't see anything ANYWAY so I may as well not look in the first place.

So cover up, girls. My eyes hurt.

it could be the cleavage...or the peace sign...or the smirk...not sure which!

Is she wearing your earrings? Is it the leopard print above her cleavage? Or the smirk? Whatever it is GET OVER IT! (Said with TOTAL LOVE and a laugh...) That sweet darling calls you to tuck her in at night and she poses so willingly for photos - regardless of what the smirk might mean.

Okay, now tell us... What is it? :o)

Duh! I clicked to read the rest of your post and it WAS the leaopard print above her cleavage (that is actually her bra!)

I agree with you - when we were that age, there was NO WAY we would EVER be caught showing a bra strap. The Horror of it all!

But then, when I was 18, Madonna said the "V" word outloud on the radio and the video hit MTV, and that was that. Bra-strap city, EVERYwhere and we modest girls? Well, we didn't stand a chance. Bravo us for not bending to the trend. As for Roo-Girl, it's all her generation knows. Telling her otherwise is like our parents telling us they had to walk a mile in the snow to school in BARE feet. We didn't get it and girls/boys today don't understand why bra straps belong INSIDE their shirts or why their pant pockets should be on their CHEEKS, not behind their knees. Sigh...

Is that a tiger print bra I see? I am constantly telling my 15 yo cousin to cover up her bra. Not just the straps, but the actual boob covering part. When did it become cool to show your bra in public? Sigh! Kids these days. I think I need to go chase one off my lawn. Catch you later.

Meow! (only because I don't know how to do a leopard roar...)

That little girl is growing up... I think she's growing up just to spite you though, so you should ground her for growing up. And when she asks why, give her the old "because I said so."

I love being a mom, just so I can use that line.
